An Internet forum is a web application for holding discussions and posting user-generated content. Internet forums are also commonly referred to as Web forums, newsgroups, message boards, discussion boards, (electronic) discussion groups, discussion forums, bulletin boards, fora (the Latin plural) or simply forums. Messages within these sub-forums are then displayed either in chronological order or as threaded discussions.

Sayschool.com is a forum for schools to post announcements easily for all their students. This system is meant to be officially supported by schools. The staff will work actively with faculty to post announcements that range from canceled classes to extended discussions on class topics. The forum provides privacy for the students and certain degrees of separation with students from different schools, but still allows for communication to students from other schools when desired. Initially, this site will support only local Savannah schools, but will soon expand to other schools in the state and possibly other states as well.
