Carlos Velasco’s Summary

I am a bilingual freelance web designer with a strong background in information technology, computer hardware, and sound design. I am organized and process oriented even under pressure. I like to stay in the loop with current industry trends on a daily basis. I’m always on the lookout for ways to be more productive and effective both as an individual and as a team when applicable.

My primary goal as a web developer is to boost my client’s business by providing them with a virtual portal available to an international market. This allows them to work in ways that are not possible in a physical realm and I’m glad to be able to enable that ability.

As an IT technician, I strive to have the infrastructure online and working at 100%. In addition, I attempt to improve upon the current tools and suggest better alternatives when they become available. Being born and raised in Honduras, I also feel an obligation to provide accessible technology to communities in need both for work and play.

As a web developer I have a strong base with solid HTML and CSS coding. I take that a step further with Wordpress and several other content management systems. I am skilled with Photoshop and Illustrator. For sound and video production I work with Pro Tools, FL Studio, Premiere, Maya, 3D Studio Max. I am comfortable in Windows, Mac or Linux environments. In addition to design, I am experienced with IT services ranging from computer assembly to network troubleshooting.
